Lesson : Leave Your Warm Market Alone

When I got involved in Network Marketing nearly 2 years ago, the first thing that my upline told me to do was make up a list of 100 friends and family members. That's where I was going to find my "business builders".

I'm sure that you were probably told the same thing too. In fact, nearly every network marketing company still teaches this old and outdated method of business building to their distributors.

As always, I'm here to tell you the truth about what it takes to build a massively successful Network Marketing business. Here are some essential FACTS that you absolutely need to know:

Lesson one: Leave your family and friends alone.

• "Warm market" business building statistics in Network Marketing have been tracked for over 25 years; the results never change. Distributors that focus on building a downline with their "warm market" have a success rate of .013. Yes, you read that correctly; that's about 1%.

• There are thousands, even hundreds of thousands of "ideal" prospects for your products, services and business opportunity out there. Your family and friends are probably not the best candidates. Your "ideal" prospects are those who come to you, ready to buy your products and join your business opportunity when you position yourself as an expert in your field (more about that later). Don't try to convince or persuade family members, friends, and co-workers to join you. The right people will come to you in greater numbers than you can handle.

• Network marketing pros DO NOT bother their family and friends. No joke! They know how to easily get more eager business builders and product users to come to them in droves with credit card in hand, ready to do business. This is a closely guarded strategy called "positioning" that took me 18 years to discover. The exciting truth is...anyone can learn how to do the same thing!
The last and probably the most important tidbit I'll leave you with is...
• The new generation of high earning Network Marketers don't use "warm market" techniques. They don't approach their family and friends. They don't do hotel meetings, 3 way calls with their upline, home parties, or buy $5 magic leads. Rather, they leverage themselves inexpensively with the latest marketing know-how that many wildly successful traditional companies use to build enormous national client bases.
